The street style set (and myself) has been casually misusing outerwear for years. We've casually draped jackets over shoulders ignoring the sleeves altogether, and most recently sported the Balenciaga-style off-the-shoulder look regardless of the weather. Just when you thought fashion had exhausted every possible way of wearing a jacket A.P.C.'s Fall 2017 opens with jackets belted at the waist like skirts and wrapped around the neck like scarves and capes. It's a look that's somewhere between "effortless chic" if done right and "I couldn't be bothered with these buttons" if done wrong. So, will this be the new street style trend? Will we continue casually wearing jackets wrong for seasons to come?
